Description
The national pastime returns to the virtual ballparks of Acclaim's All Star Baseball 2003. As in previous years' editions in the series, all 30 Major League Baseball teams and over 900 real-life pro players are featured. Motion-captured animations bring the players to life and developers used "Cyberscan" technology to create detailed, recognizable faces. A total of ten modes of play include standard "Exhibition," "Season," and "Career," as well as specialties like "Batting Practice" and a "Home Run Derby." The new "Expansion" mode allows dedicated gamers to create custom teams, choosing a city, stadium, and logo and then adding the squad to the Major League schedule. The Cooperstown Hall of Fame team lets fans play with all-time greats like Mike Schmidt, Reggie Jackson, and Yogi Berra. Games are called by Bob Brenly, Thom Brennaman, and Steve Lyons.
