Track Listing

Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle is a pretty typical, but also pretty entertaining, soundtrack to a stoner comedy. Its mix of punk-pop (MXPX's "Chick Magnet"), moments of irony (Wilson Phillips' "Hold On," Nicki French's cover of Bonnie Tyler's weepie "Total Eclipse of the Heart," Heart's "Crazy On You"), and homages to the kind bud (practically every other song on the album) isn't especially remarkable. However, it is cleverly assembled, and any soundtrack that brings together the Smithereens' "White Castle Blues," Fannypack's "Cameltoe," and Rose Royce's "I Wanna Get Next to You" has something going for it. Other standout tracks include Ziggy Marley the Melody Makers' "One Good Spliff," Coolio's "Kinda High, Kinda Drunk," and Classic 86's "Ridin'." Overall, the album is a fun souvenir from the movie that works well on its own terms, too. ~ Heather Phares, Rovi
